How we handle your information at Jurybox.
JURYBOX TECHNOLOGIES, LLC PRIVACY POLICY
Jurybox Technologies, LLC ("Jurybox") offers this privacy policy (the "Policy") to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. This Policy discloses our practices for our Website’s information gathering and dissemination.Your IP Address
Pursuant to our Policy, we use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Website. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information. This site automatically collects other information such as browser type, platform, and connection speed.Links
Our Website contains links to other sites. Jurybox is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Websites.User Information
Users provide a name and email address on signup and may receive a welcome email after signing up. Further email communications may follow to provide updates to the product or services. We may solicit users to voluntarily provide additional contact information such as a phone number. We use this contact information to facilitate communications with users. The user’s contact information may be also used to contact the user regarding their specific request or to send administrative notices regarding their use of the software. We may collect additional information regarding your preferences or demographics to help improve our user experience. We use collected information only to operate, maintain, and improve Jurybox. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or other independent purposes. As described under "Service Providers" below, we rely on a small number of vetted service providers who process information on our behalf.Service Providers
Like most software companies, Jurybox relies on vetted service providers to help us run our service. These providers act on our behalf, under agreements that limit their use of your information to providing services to Jurybox — they may not use it for their own purposes. The categories of providers we use are: cloud hosting and storage, payment processing, email and SMS delivery, and error monitoring. We remain responsible for information handled by these providers on our behalf.Analytics and Advertising
Separately from the service providers above, we use Google Analytics to understand how our website and application are used, and our public marketing site (juryboxapp.com) uses a Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. These tools receive usage information such as the pages you visit and information about your device and browser, and the providers may process that information in accordance with their own privacy policies. They never receive the content you store in Jurybox — your cases, juror information, notes, and documents are not shared with analytics or advertising providers.AI-Assisted Features
Jurybox offers optional AI-assisted features that help you work with your case materials. Today this includes AI-assisted document import, which reads uploaded documents (such as juror questionnaires and jury lists) and turns them into juror records; we may offer additional AI-assisted features in the future. Every AI-assisted feature that processes your content operates under the same commitments described in this section.AI-assisted features are off by default for every organization. They only become available after an administrator for your organization reviews an in-app disclosure describing what the features do and chooses to enable them, and an administrator can turn them off at any time.
When AI-assisted features are enabled and you use them, the content you submit (such as uploaded documents and any guidance text you provide) is processed by AI models running within Jurybox's own cloud environment in the United States. The AI service does not retain your content after processing, and your content is never used to train AI models. If a future AI-assisted feature ever required handling your content differently than described here, we would update this policy and notify you before offering it.
Documents you upload are stored encrypted by Jurybox and linked to your case. You can download or delete them at any time, and they are deleted when the case is deleted. AI-generated output may contain errors or omissions; you are responsible for reviewing it against your original materials before relying on it.
